By design, our bodies are immaculate systems. Male bodies are made of an estimated 36 trillion cells and females are made of 28 trillion. Then there are 38 trillion bacterial cells that work in harmony with other cells to complete the full human system made for survival. The opposite of “death” is not “birth”, but “life”. Each surviving day, we are defeating death by surviving–no matter what that feels like. Each day, our bodies breathe in and out about 30,000 breaths of oxygen– an instinct many of us take for granted. We should thank our Creator that we don’t have to say “body, breathe in; now, body, breathe out”-it just does. The cells within our body compose another harmony of systems: nervous, circulatory, digestive, respiratory, and immune; each working together to make the whole as healthy as possible for the journey of life.
In the beginning (re’shiyth) God created.
Re’shiyth is the Hebrew word that means: the first, in place, order or rank. The principal thing.
The first word for God is אֱלהִים (Elohiym) plural of אֱלוֹהַּ (Elowahh) this is the sovereign God deity: Creator of all things, but Himself uncreated and unseen. Plural because God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit (Ruach) worked as One with the plan, the design, the PRINCIPAL order, rank, place.
First, God created the environment: “Let there be Light.” He spoke. “Darkness” is a description of absence of light. The standard to darkness IS light. Darkness can only travel at the speed of light, it is only measured by the spectrum of light, it is obsolete without light. Matthew 5:13-16 Jesus gives us our identity, reminding us the very beginning: “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”
God continued in the beginning His goodness:
Heavens and earth formed- day and night formed- waters and dry land formed- an ecosystem of food and beauty that provides shade, shelter, and more, formed- the consumer system of the ecology comprised of moving creatures on land, water, and air formed.
Then God’s finest creature, the Spirit Man.
Now, for many years when I read this, I thought of a fleshed human, but that is not the order. We should look more closely to what is actually written in the Word of God.
Genesis 1:26-31 “And God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created He them.”
Stopping here, the spiritual man is created- both the “male” and “female” MAN species. Scripture in Galations 3 reveals this to us by: “ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
Continuing on: “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiple, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
And God saw every thing that he had made and behold it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
The seventh day. God rests. He blesses it and sanctifies it: “because that in it, He had rested from ALL His work which God created and made”.
Genesis 2:8 continues– “And the LORD God planted a Garden eastward in Eden, and there he put the man who he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (2:15) And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shall surely die.
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them; and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all the cattle and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
To drive the above home, I am going to skip to the end of Genesis 3.
” Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. And the LORD God said, Behold the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”
So, as one can read — it wasn’t until eating from the tree of good and evil did the LORD God put coats of skin upon the spiritual man(species made of male and female). This would be different than what was mentioned earlier in the scripture flesh. The spiritual being is to have dominion over all the earth and its systems. This is referred to as the Adamic Covenant composed of two parts: Covenant of Creation and Covenant after the fall.
So, first in the re’shiyth: God spoke, God created, God saw, and it was good. Then God rested. The LORD God saw it “was not good” for the spiritual man to be “alone”. Diving into a deeper understanding, why would the LORD God say it was not good for man to be alone? Because God does not go against His word. In Mark 10:18 the LORD God, Jesus Christ, says “No one is good except God alone.”
The spiritual man is a reflection of God’s goodness- we in and of ourselves- cannot be good. God in His infinite wisdom knew that goodness by itself cannot be good– unless there is something else to be good TO. Creating the spiritual man, one that is in fellowship with God’s love, goodness, and righteousness gives us the opportunity to reflect that upon the earth.
Now, many will say they are a good person, but we have to reason together what is the standard of “good”.
Are we as good as God?
Surely not, so therefore we must recognize that we fall short of that. Upon recognizing this falling short, we are in need of THE WAY back to fullness of the knowledge of goodness, but there is NO way outside of the LORD God, Jesus Christ. This makes me sad for many in a religious system–striving and surviving to live up to a manmade “goodness standard” and having no rest in the spiritual Truth Jesus gives those that follow Him back into Godliness, by faith.
Am I good enough?
Only when I recognize that Creator made me human. I am clothed in a coat of skin not “of flesh”. The flesh is crucified, abiding in the LORD GOD. To dive and drive deeper into this Truth, we need to understand the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world who was nailed to the tree of “good and evil” cursed is that man of flesh.
John 1:29: John sees Jesus and confesses with his mouth: “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
Revelation 13:8: “And all the people who belong to this world worshiped the beast. They are the ones whose names were not written in the Book of Life that belongs to the Lamb who was slaughtered before the world was made.”
1 Peter 1:19-20 : “But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you…”
Genesis 22:8 : “And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. (Abrahamic Covenant with God and His people.)
Isaiah 53:7 “He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.”
Jesus did speak, yet He spoke God’s word back to the people/”the flesh” in a New Covenant which is greater than the Old Testament covenants. His own voice reminds us, “Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.”[John 13:16] He was a servant to ALL that receives Christ as the Savior; providing THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE back to the Kingdom of God within ourselves through grace and mercy. I, Danielle, am not a holy vessel without Christ. When I set my mind, heart, and body to the Kingdom of God; I am transformed into a righteous vessel. I will not be fully formed though, until this spirit is set free from its contained vessel that was made for the purpose of the Master, housed in my coat of skin. My “spirit is willing, my flesh is weak”. [Matthew 26:41]
As hu-MAN, I am contained in the bodily funtions/systems to keep me alive to share God’s truth. The spiritual MAN is set free by the Promise of God slain on my behalf at the foundation of SELF. From the beginning-the purpose of taking dominion of heaven and bringing it to earth for the Glory of the LORD God. God loved me, before I knew to love Him. God made THE WAY, before THE WAY, was lit up for me in the darkness. The life in Christ is more abundant than anything my hands could create for myself and I thoroughly hope to help others remember THE WAY home– through the blood of Christ Jesus.
Christ provides freedom from “sin” and “death” making Alive the spiritual MAN to hunger and thirst after righteousness. To seek God in all things. To set the mind above and not on the things of the world, but of heavenly Truth. Our bodies (flesh tent, turned “coat of skin” through the LORD GOD) may be confined to a “gravity” that keeps us walking upon the dirt which we were formed from and return to, but by the grace of God in Christ Jesus– our spirit man will be freed, uniting with the One who overcame the world. The first to show our mortal body the direction–THE WAY.
Now, Elohim created man. He did not make a “third gender” no matter what someone wants to believe, it is not the truth.
He made Adam(אדם : Adama, Red, One From The Soil, Beginning: Humanity – From the root דמם (dmm), to begin, to produce)
and Eve (חַוָּה derived from the Hebrew word חָוָה (ḥawa) meaning “to breathe” or the related word חָיָה (ḥaya) meaning “to live”)
He placed 15 million to over 200 million sperm per milliliter of semen inside the male system. A healthy adult male produces approximately 70-150 million sperm each day, with some estimates being 300 million. In ejaculation, sperm counts can range from 40 million to over 500 million.
A female is typically born with approximately 1 to 2 million eggs in her ovaries. This number decreases significantly by puberty, with only about 300,000 eggs remaining. As a woman ages, the egg count continues to decline, and by menopause, fewer than 1,000 eggs typically remain. A woman’s eggs are formed in her grandmother’s womb, as her mother was a fetus carrying her own egg cells. This means that the egg that became you was formed in your grandmother’s womb, passed through your mother,
…and eventually became part of you! “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” [Jeremiah 1:5]
God made one man and one woman and never went back, satisfied His Word and Will of unifying His creation back to Himself upon the Cross of Calvery when Christ spoke “It is Finished”.
From darkness, “Let there be Light”.
